Icelandic hide - “Atticus”

Egg tanned sheepskin from Icelandic lamb “Atticus”.  Atticus is 34 inches long, 29 inches wide, with locks averaging 10 inches.

Atticus was an Icelandic ram born in the spring of 2023. Atticus was born and raised on a small farm not very far from me, and then made his ultimate sacrifice to nourish bodies in the fall. 

His hide was tanned traditionally be me here on the farm with the use of egg yolks from chickens and smoke to set the tan.

Please expect a small amount of vegetable matter to be in the sheepskin as I can’t remove each tiny piece, as well as a slight smoke smell which will go away with some time.
