SponsorSHEEP 2026-2027

Inspired by the SponsorSHEEP program though Long Way Homestead in Manitoba which started in 2016, I have decided to bring that to Alberta with my flock of Icelandic sheep for all of you fibre enthusiast's!

Have you wanted to have an Icelandic sheep of your own, but don't have the space, time, or farm to make it happen? Now you can become part of the flock wherever you are!

This program will run for 8 months (September 2026-April 2027), with the ability to renew the second year. This offers a chance to sponsor one of the 5 spring born Icelandic lambs being retained in the flock, a chance to get to know their personality, their story, their wool, and all the little moments that make farm life special

This program includes :

• Your very own sponsored sheep
• Monthly updates & photos of your lamb
• Raw fleece from your chosen lamb in September & April. This includes a lamb fleece this fall (their first fleece shorn), and their first adult fleece next spring
• Special farm updates throughout the year

I encourage sponsors to book a farm tour, ask all the questions, or even join on a shearing day. All fleeces will be skirted and sent to you shortly after both the fall & spring shearing for you to get started on your creations

Lambs available to sponsor for 2026-2027 :

*SponsorSHEEP subscriptions are $300 annually 

• Loki (ram lamb) - Black badgerface, fleece is cream/light grey
• Penny (ewe lamb) - Black solid, fleece is black
• Freyja (ewe lamb) - Black badgerface, fleece is cream/light grey
• Polly (ewe lamb) - Moorit grey, fleece is brown/light brown and grey
• Indi (ewe lamb) - Moorit solid, fleece is brown with some lighter grey tones

*Please note, animals don't always survive though we do everything in our power to provide everything they need for a healthy, long life. In the event of the passing of a sheep, monthly updates & photos of the flock will still be sent along, and you'll have the opportunity to choose which sheep you'd like to fulfill your fleece with

Shipping is available throughout Canada & the US, with farm pickup available as well, all included in your subscription
